This is a listing of ministry opportunities for the Fall 2011 semester. If you are interested in helping with one of these areas and want to contact someone, the appropriate email address is below. We would love for you to involve yourself and help serve in one (or a few!) of these areas! Children's Ministry: Stephanie Simpson, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it Do you love kids and want to help serve the community of Kirksville? Then Children's Ministry wants you! Come help out at a Parent's Night Out, where volunteers watch anywhere from 40-80 children (or more) at the Crossing for free. We do this once a month to give the parents in the community a night off. You can also help Stephanie teach Sunday school for the staff kids during first service or get involved in babysitting opportunities for bible studies at nearby churches. There are so many ways to love on kids in this community! Help make an even bigger impact this year! Hospitality: David Estes, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The ministry also puts on events such as Meet & Greets. We are always looking for more people to help greet and follow up on new people. Ministry meetings are on Wednesday at 6:30 in Violet Hall Second Floor. Kenya: Taylor Gleason,

The Kenya Ministry focuses on the partnership that CCF has with a school in Elangata Enterit in Kenya. CCF is the sole sponsor for the school and partners with the native people to provide school supplies, food, water and anything else the school needs to be successful. It takes $600 a month to meet our commitment and the kids are beyond appreciative. This ministry is a wonderful way to reach out to those on the other side of the world and show Jesus to kids and teachers who worship the same God. We will meet weekly to offer Bible study, support and accountability as we learn together how to actively love and serve other students on campus and share the message of the gospel with our friends and peers. This ministry will provide opportunities for meeting new people, getting involved on campus and making deeper connections with others within CCF who are invested in our campus and eager to reach out. Social Mercies: Aimee Chau, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it We are a ministry that is committed to serving. As social mercies we like to go out into Kirksville and serve in whatever capacities that we are needed, in that we know that God's faithfulness will come through. We want to be a light from Truman's campus representing God's love. We have done things such as serving at food bank's, to helping local families, to making Operation Christmas child boxes. We can always use more people. We don't have regular ministry meetings and we do mostly everything through e-mail from the This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. We will be going to the San Carlos Apache Reservation, where many families are in need of homes. Our team will road trip out there, camp, and build part of a house for a specific family. The dates for the trip are December 27 through January 2. |
